Spoiler: this website doesn't set cookies on you. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for tracking. Here are the details of the little it does store and why.

1. Summary: this website doesn't use cookies
reinicia.io does not use analytics, advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. Nor does it use its own session or personalisation cookies: there is no user area, no basket and nothing to remember between visits.
That's why you won't see a banner here asking for permission to set cookies. It isn't an oversight: there is simply nothing to consent to. If that ever changed, the first thing you would see would be a notice letting you decide, before anything was set.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device to recognise it on later visits. They are used for legitimate things (keeping you logged in, remembering a language) and also for what almost everyone associates them with: measuring your behaviour and following you from one website to another for advertising purposes.
Spanish law (art. 22.2 of the LSSI-CE) requires your informed consent before any cookie is set or any information is stored on your device, except those strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested or for security.
3. What this website stores in your browser
We don't use cookies, but we do store a few technical values in your browser's
session storage (sessionStorage). It's a space that
clears itself when you close the tab, isn't sent with network requests the
way cookies are, and never leaves your device except as part of an aggregate statistic.

None of these values contains personal data, allows you to be identified, is shared with third parties or survives closing the browser.
4. Cookie-free analytics
We want to know whether this website is any use (what gets read, what doesn't, where people come from), but without setting up a surveillance system to find out. We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool, installed on our own server. It isn't Google Analytics or any service that makes money from data.
- It doesn't set cookies.
- It doesn't store your IP address in an identifiable form.
- It doesn't create profiles or follow you from one website to another.
- It produces aggregate statistics: pages viewed, country, device type and which link you came from.
- The data stays on our server; it is not sold or shared.
The legal basis for this measurement is our legitimate interest in improving the website (art. 6.1.f GDPR), as explained in the privacy policy.
5. Anti-bot checks and security
The contact and assessment forms are protected with Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible anti-bot check that only runs when you submit the form, not when the page loads. It replaces the traffic-light and zebra-crossing captchas, and in our configuration it doesn't set tracking cookies.
Cloudflare, which also serves this website, may process your IP address and technical connection data to tell human traffic from automated traffic and stop abuse. If at any point it became necessary to set a strictly technical security cookie, it would be covered by the exception in art. 22.2 of the LSSI-CE: it doesn't require consent because it is essential to provide the service you have requested.
6. Third-party services the website loads
For completeness, these are the external resources your browser requests when you open a page on reinicia.io. None of them sets cookies, but in all of them your IP address is visible to the provider, which is what always happens when a resource is loaded from another domain:
- Google Fonts: the brand typefaces are served from Google's servers, which receive the request and therefore your IP.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: the anti-bot check script, only on pages with a form.
- Umami: the analytics script, served from our own server.
This website doesn't embed YouTube videos, maps, social media buttons, external chat widgets or advertising pixels, which are the usual suspects for setting third-party cookies without you noticing.
7. How to control it from your browser
Even though there's nothing to block here, you can control at any time what websites store on your device from your browser's privacy settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.
Clearing the site's storage or browsing in private mode has no effect at all on how reinicia.io works: the website keeps working exactly the same, forms included.
8. Changes to this policy
If in future we add a tool that does use cookies, we will update this page and, before setting anything, ask for your consent through a system that lets you accept, reject or configure them. Until then, that's all there is.
